Shadi has 13 years' experience working in Brand Communications and Marketing in the UAE.
Since setting up MAIA three years ago, she has won 30+ clients for PR and social media work in the hospitality industry. From The Arts Club Dubai, as well as Six Senses Zighy Bay and AURA Skypool Lounge.
Prior to setting up MAIA, she was the Cluster Director of PR & Communications of Jumeirah Group, leading the team that looked after all Dubai hotels at that time (that included Burj Al Arab).
She has also worked at Edelman, DABO & CO and H+K Strategies overseeing clients such as Dubai Tourism, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Anantara Hotels & Resorts, as well as a variety of other lifestyle and luxury brands.
She has been in Dubai since August 2009, having been selected to join a Graduate Trainee scheme with Four Communications, from London.

Odette was born and raised in the UK and has spent almost a decade in the UAE. She has spent the past 6 years working in Marketing and Production across a series of luxury travel, design and lifestyle brands in Dubai and London.
She is a passionate travel and lifestyle photographer who has relished the opportunity to wander through nearly 100 countries, leaving her with a remarkable travel resume.
Alongside this Odette contributes heavily to the health and wellness industry, she leads Branding and Culture at MAIA, cultivating a positive organizational culture and ensuring our visual identity and temperament are aligned from both a professional and personal perspective.
Prior to joining MAIA, Richard led the Marketing Communications strategies for some of the most luxurious hospitality brands in the region, including working for Jumeirah, Six Senses and InterContinental.
A former journalist, Richard is passionate about bringing brands stories to life. Before moving into the hospitality sector, he led the PR strategy for Manchester Central, one of Europe’s largest convention centres, and has also worked as an advisor for a number of government bodies.
Alessandra was born and raised in the UAE for most of her life, however, completed her higher studies in London, United Kingdom and now holds an MA in Public Relations.
She has seven years of UAE PR experience and led on both the corporate and consumer communications for Hilton Regional Office across EMEA for three years. She has worked at Edelman Dabo, Sticky Ginger, and Seven Media, overseeing luxury and lifestyle brands such as BMW Group, Rolls-Royce Middle East, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, PUMA, and Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, as well as a variety of F&B brands.
Emily brings an international perspective with over 12 years of experience in communications, brand strategy, and storytelling within the hospitality industry.
Before joining MAIA, she was the Director of Communications for almost a decade, working with renowned American restaurateur and celebrity chef Marc Murphy. In 2021, she co-founded a contemporary hospitality consultancy catering to Michelin-starred restaurants, culinary experts, and international hospitality brands.
A passionate traveler who favors slow exploration and has a particular fondness for the Middle East and solo adventures, Emily recently relocated to Dubai from New York City, where she had been residing for the past 15 years.
Born and raised in Jordan, Haneen has experience in project coordination, client relations and marketing, and has worked in the UK and UAE.
She has led projects and managed multiple client accounts in events like Art Dubai, Dubai Design Week and Expo 2020.
Haneen graduated from Kingston University London with a BA in Media and Communication Studies.
Natalie is a half Austrian, half Syrian third culture kid who was born in London and grew up traveling the world. She enjoys the company of others and loves the lifestyle which Dubai has to offer.
Natalie graduated with Merit, from MODUL University Vienna with a BBA in Tourism, Hotel Management and Operations.
Natalie comes from a strong background in luxury hospitality where she also has previous experience in F&B PR for Hyatt hotels.
She supports on clients such as Attiko, Raffles The Palm, DRIFT Beach and Mott 32.
Iman is a Scottish - Egyptian hybrid born and raised in Qatar. In 2017, she graduated from the University of the Arts London with a BA (Hons) Journalism.
She has recently relocated to Dubai from Brighton (UK) where she was working as Senior Digital Communications Officer for England’s leading arts festival and multi - arts events venue.
Born in Argentina and raised in Qatar, Mariana spent most
of her time within the Middle East before relocating to the
UK, where she graduated from Royal Holloway University of
London with a BSc in Management with Marketing.
With a background in Social Media Strategy, Mariana has
led on strategies for clients like Dubai Ladies Club, Canon
and Emirates NBD. Alongside her research skills, Mariana
has a keen eye for design and is all about the small details
when it comes to content creation and execution.
Jetaime is a third culture girl, raised in the UAE for most of her life. She graduated with a double degree in Public Relations and Journalism.
She offers a fresh pair of eyes to MAIA and its clients, with interest in visual storytelling through content creation and design. Prior to joining the team, she has previously worked for Vogue Arabia and Park Hyatt Dubai.
Besides completing her degree with a scholarship, she was also one of Murdoch University’s MEPRA student representatives. She now supports our social media and content clients.
Born in Slovenia and raised in Dubai, Kaya continued her higher education in London, UK where she gained a BA degree in Business & Management at Regent's University London.
Kaya has a strong background in journalism of lifestyle, fashion, and hospitality as she previously worked with Grazia Middle East magazine at ITP Media Group in Dubai.
Dilara is passionate about transforming ideas into visually compelling and memorable brand experiences.
With over 12 years in the industry, she has built brands and visual identities for a range of clients across Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Her skills lie in logo design, brand development, and creative storytelling and she adds a new dimension to the MAIA team.
Dilara has a passion for visual storytelling and showcases it through product photography, fashion, and content creation.
